Celebrate

All Things Pumpkin Spice!

I love this time of year. Growing up in a city of changing seasons, I always looked forward to the Fall Season. The brisk cool air. The summer greenery beginning to disappear. The leaves beginning to change to beautiful, yellows, oranges, deep purples, or burgundy making their way into blowing winds and making a beautiful mess. And with that, we get the Pumpkin Spice Latte phenomenon that I so look forward to. As soon as one of my favorite coffee shops make it available, there I am getting my first taste of Fall.

Currently, I do not reside where I get the dramatic change into the Fall season, however, it is definitely still in the air. Stores have all the Fall decor, coffee shops with their warm spice scents, homes decorated with the Fall theme, restaurants adding a touch Fall creation in their menus. I have realized that even though I am now surrounded by sunshine, palm trees, and sandy beaches, I am still find ways to enjoy the Fall season. I can say that it is a state of mind.

Yay or Nay?

So, what do you think about the “Pumpkin Spice Craze?” Is it a Yay or a Nay for you? I know some love it, some don’t, and to others, it doesn’t matter. It has been a topic on several social media platforms. And you have manufacturers getting creative and jumping in adding the flavor to their products.

What do I think? I think it is great. It’s fun. Would I try everything pumpkin spice? Probably not. I would stick to, of course, the pumpkin spice latte, the tasty pumpkin spice doughnuts, pumpkin spice muffins, cookies, and scones. Now, that’s just the “pumpkin spice craze” because “pumpkin” in general, is a whole other story. Like pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin chip cupcakes, and on and on. Of which, of course, I enjoy making.

I say…

Go out and have that pumpkin spice whatever it may be and continue to enjoy the warmth, the spices, the aroma of Fall. It is a time to cuddle up with a warm cup that you like and enjoy the warm flavors and smells of Fall. It is somewhat comforting. And soon after…it will be peppermint. Ha!

In the meantime, if you have an all of a sudden craving for a nice warm cup of pumpkin spice latte, I have come up with a shortcut! Yes, a simple way to satisfy the craving. And I must say probably fewer calories, but who’s counting. Click here to take you over to the short tutorial…Enjoy!
