Iced Matcha Tea Latte

A beverage that can be enjoyed at any time. Great for an afternoon pick me up! Delicious and very easy to make.

Description
I enjoy an iced matcha green tea latte with coconut milk from my favorite coffee shop. I can't always make it to the coffee shop so when a craving hit, I decided to make my own. I did some research on the base ingredients and didn't realize how simple it was to make. So I played around with the ingredients until I came up with the taste I'm familiar with and enjoy. The recipe can be altered to suit your taste. Add more or less of the matcha tea powder; adjust the agave or sweetener of your choice to your liking. So take a break, whip up a cup, relax and enjoy!

Gather your ingredients and a blender. If you have a blender that has a blender cup, that would be ideal.

Pour the coconut milk into the blender cup or a blender carafe.
Unsweetened almond milk can also be used. -
Add the matcha powder.
I like matcha powder, however, I don't like for it to overpower. I find a teaspoon is sufficient. If you like more or less, feel free to adjust. -
Add the agave.
I used organic golden agave. You can also use simple syrup or any sweetener. I added a tablespoon and the sweetness was good for me. You may want to start with less and adjust accordingly to reach your ideal level of sweetness. (I started off with a teaspoon and it was 🥴 so I kept adding and a tablespoon is where I was happy 😋). -
Blend your ingredients.

Add as much ice as you like to a glass or cup of your choice.

Pour the tea into the glass with ice.

Here's a Bonus!
You can add the ice to the ingredients in the beginning and blend for a smoothie. Then top it with some coconut whipped cream to keep it vegan or whip cream of your choice for an extra treat!
